Expatriates in India

Easily seen are the differences in public facilities between two countries with a higher economic standard and a lower economic standard. First, the public toilet is totally distinct. Compared to the comfortable and clean public toilets in the developed countries, there is almost no public toilet in most of Indian cities, let alone the countryside. What’s more, distinctions can be found in the two countries in the transportation. Never will I forget the news that a Indian motor-bicycle with 12 people and the train with people sitting above the roof. In addition, the most shocking difference must be the basic education. Almost half of the Indian women can’t read and write, which is absolutely distinct from the well-educated people from the high economic standard. When these situation happen, the expats will feel astonished and unbelievable. But they may soon get used to it. As for the value of experiencing with a lower economic standard, I will definitely gain the following three things: First, I can learn different culture to broaden my horizons; Second, I will learn to cherish the life in my own country; Third, I will learn to accept the diversity of the world.
